Alton Baker is located right on the banks of the Willamette River, and there are several boat launch areas. Combined with the free parking this can be a great place to start your fishing trip, or float on the river. In addition to the boat launches, there is also a manmade canoe canal running through the park. This is a nice alternative if you want something a little more relaxing than taking a canoe on the powerful Willamette. The Alton Baker Canoe Canal is also stocked with trout, so it’s a great place to fish without having to leave the city. State Link Resource
